09 Apr Coronavirus – School Closure Update
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to inform you that our school sites will remain closed with effect from Tuesday 14th April 2020 and that we will continue to use Class Dojo to provide educational activities and care for the children.
During the holiday I have been meeting regularly with the school’s Executive Leadership Team to look at the latest government guidance with regard to school closure. The guidance remains clear, students with EHCPs that are safe to be at home should be, to reduce the chance of Coronavirus transmission and to protect the NHS.
The guidance also states that there is an expectation that vulnerable children who have a social worker will attend provision, so long as they do not have underlying health conditions that put them at severe risk. We are now exploring how we can plan a phased opening of our sites, for these children. We obviously will open to all students as soon as it is safe and practical to do so.
