National recognition of our shining stars

National Thank a Teacher Day On National Thank a Teacher Day we are proud that our staff have been praised by both students, and Pearson National Teaching Awards; the national organisation that celebrates outstanding work taking place in schools across the UK. Class teacher, Rachel Ford, received a Certificate of Excellence Award in Special Needs Education, whilst Life Chance Group and School for Inspiring Talents were recognised by Pearson with a Bronze Award for our “Impact through Partnership”. Hannah Moon, CEO of Life Chance and School for Inspiring Talents said, “We are delighted to have received this national recognition of excellence in our staff who really go the extra mile for our students every day.” The theme of this year’s Thank a Teacher Day is ‘Stars’ and School for Inspiring Talents students have worked creatively to celebrate their teachers and support staff. Baked cookies, compliment jars and recreations of Vincent van Gogh’s ‘The Starry Night’ are just some of the star-themed activities that students took part in to say ‘thank you’ to their teaching heroes. Pete Jenkins, Executive Principal, said, “I am so proud of all our staff, some days can be really challenging but they put our students at the heart of all they do – so a big thank you.”
“Shawn is caring, Shawn is kind, Shawn is fun, Shawn is funny, Shawn is happy.”
