School for Inspiring Talents recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils.

We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice.

Operation Encompass:

We are part of Operation Encompass. This is a police and education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children and young people who experience domestic abuse. Find more information about Operation Encompass here.

Operation Encompass means that the police will share information about domestic abuse incidents with our school PRIOR to the start of the next school day when they have been called to a domestic incident.

Once a key adult (Designated Safeguarding Lead – DSL) has attended at an Operation Encompass briefing they will cascade the principles of Operation Encompass to all Deputy DSLS.

Our Key Adults are:

The Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL),  Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSL), Children In Care (CIC), Single Point of Contact (SPOC), Sexual Exploitation Leads (CSE)

This new leaflet helps explain Safeguarding for younger students.
